SALES INFORMATION

I had originally set up eScapePhoto as a small business, but since moving to B.C. I shut that business down am now once again mainly doing it all for fun. Should you wish to purchase any photos from this site, please contact me (see link at bottom of page).

SHIPPING

All prints are always shipped flat, inside of a plastic bag, between sheets of heavy cardboard. Prints can be shipped a number of different ways depending on where you are and how fast you really want it ! We can discuss when you place an order. Framing the final print is up to you, it is just too much of a hassle shipping framed prints under glass, although I have had good success in the past with no damages.

When you order the glazing for the print at your framer of choice, I recommend spending the extra money and ordering Denglass. It is crystal clear and nearly reflectionless so it transmits the full detail of the image. Both Giclee and Inkjet prints should be protected by glass in order to achieve the longevity of the colours (inks or pigments).

LIMITED EDITIONS

My approach to limited editions -- In the past I have given in to certain forces and have made some of my prints limited editions. However, as I progress down the marketing path, I am grappling with a real truth -- editioning has nothing to do with the photographic process. The negative and especially a digital file doesn't wear out in the way a lithographer's stone will. As Dan Burkholder says "The whole concept is a marketing ploy designed to assuage the worried collector that the market will not be flooded with a particular image. Give me a break! Does anyone really think that a hundred or so prints scattered over the globe (and all printed by the photographer himself) will diminish the value of the image ?" In any event, once a limited edition has been declared, I will certainly honour that commitment, but any image I have that moves your emotions and/or pleases your senses is available. After all, that is why prints are placed on the wall ! I will post on this site ASAP when a Limited Edition is sold out but I shall not be held liable if, between the time you choose an image and contact me, it is no longer available.

Of course, only images on the web site have a copyright notice embedded in them. Final images do not. I have to put this note here because otherwise someone will ask !

COLOURS

The colours in the images shown on this web site are hopefully close to the final print but are probably not the same. Too many variations in the Internet delivery system, such as different web browsers and different computer monitors, make this impossible. All this means that it is only the final print, personally overseen and approved by myself, will contain the colours that represent what I remember from the scene when I photographed it.
